| Manchester United v Aston Villa Carling Cup Final Sun 28 Feb (15:00 GMT) Wembley Stadium Match Pack: Carling Cup Reds aim to keep a grip on the trophy and get revenge for Villa's 1994 League Cup win...Form guide: The Reds returned to winning ways against West Ham on Tuesday after the blip at Goodison Park - a first league defeat in eight games. Villa go into the final on the back of an FA Cup replay win over Crystal Palace which secured them a quarter-final place. They've not lost since the end of last year and held United to a 1-1 draw at Villa Park this month. Ins and outs: United are missing the suspended Nani, and Rio Ferdinand (back), Ryan Giggs (arm) and Anderson (knee) join John O'Shea (leg) and Owen Hargreaves (knee) on the sidelines. Stilian Petrov (virus) is a doubt for Villa but they're otherwise at full strength. Star man: Gabriel Agbonlahor netted Villa's winner at OT in December and is the club's top scorer with 14 goals. Ashley Young and Stewart Downing pose a threat down the flanks. Manager: Martin O'Neill is highly regarded within the game. He's already steered Villa to the last eight of the FA Cup and harbours ambitions of a top-four league finish. Referee: Phil Dowd has taken charge of just one United game this term, on Halloween as the Reds beat Blackburn 2-0 at Old Trafford. He's officiated three Villa games, and in 28 games has handed out four red cards. Rivals watch: With the Reds not in league action, Chelsea lost their game in hand on Saturday lunchtime at home to Manchester City 2-4, while Arsenal travelled to Stoke for the tea-time kick-off and came away with 3 points following a 1-3 win despite a disastrous injury to young Aaron Ramsey. | Nani, Giggs and Ferdi Will be missed, so post your prospective teams for the final. Acc to me, we should go with a 4-5-1, 1. VDS
21. Rafael 6. Brown 15. Vidic 3. Evra
25. Valencia 24. Fletcher 28. Gibson 16. Carrick 13. Park
10. Rooney Subs : 12. Foster 23. Evans 7. Owen 9. Berbatov 19. Welbeck 18. Scholes 26. Obertan ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Now, 4-5-1 should work pretty well, and we do need to play the frst team, coz Villa are tough as hell. Gibson and Fletch will make their usual runs forward and long shots, and valencia and park can pepper in crosses, for well the man of the moment to make something of them. IF 4-5-1 is unable to do any serious damage and the game is kinda slowing up, we can switch it 4-4-2 with just one substitution or without one even, with valencia joining roo up front, otherwise berba can come off the bench t o continue his fiery form in the last few games. Carrick will obviously sit their in front of the CBs. Brown and Vidic will be importan and VDS to just get that cool and coordination in the back. We need to win this Cup, and since we havent won at the New Wembley withot Extra Time/Penalties, we should look to sow up the cup in the 90 minutes. Young and Milner And Gabby need to be controlled. Valencia has the pace to stick with Young, but Rafael might just be caught out, important game for the lad( if he plays). Evra is solid on the left hand side. Here's to hoping for a Win - and our first Trophy of the Season for which we were written off coz of the "transfer outs". Winning the Cup is the way to shut up some of the doubters!

| Resting Rooney will be *might be* catastrophic, given the kind of form he is in. I doubt that the chances of Berbatov alone up front doing what we know Rooney can are high enough. |

| Yeah. I hope defense is not too shaky. Vidic should start and should be strong. And I really hope Rafael starts at RB and not Neville. |

| Yeah, Vidic made some difference at OT from Goodison Park, and hope that continues.
Yes Neville is a better defender at the moment, but he doesnt have the legs or lungs to keep with the likes of Milner and Young.
Although Rafael is no bolt, still he is faster than Neville, and a good enough defender. |

| Rafael is fast. Plus he plays a bit rough which is needed in this match Valencia is in form and so is rooney. VDS should not be shaky. He will be high on morale since he signed his new contract If all these things work out the the trophy is our for sure. |
