GARY NEVILLE is set to retire from football at the end of this season.
The Manchester United hero is out of contract in June and there are no plans to offer a new one.

Right-back Neville, 34, has been hit by a series of injuries over the last two years. Fellow United veterans Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs have new one-year deals.

Ex-England star Neville has played 583 first-team games so far in a superb 18-year career at Old Trafford.

Would be sad to lose such a loyal servant to the club. His time was coming soon so this doesn't surprise me, but wish he'd have had less of injuries the last few years of his career. Great player and a great person!

Not really. I'd rather see him retire and remember his glory days them have his memory in my mind tarnished with the recent displays. It's been amazing to have a player like him.

Well he shouldn't. Hopefully he can stay with the club as an ambassador or something. Wouldn't want to see him gone completely from the club.

Wrong use of worlds I think. If he wants to do it then he should be allowed by to do that by the club. You can't say he SHOULD do it. It's his life, his choice.
