Manchester United's Edwin van der Sar is set to return to training

Edwin van der Sar is close to returning to training at Manchester United
after the latest medical prognosis revealed his wife had not suffered
permanent damage when she collapsed with a brain haemorrhage before
Christmas.
Sir Alex Ferguson's first-choice goalkeeper has been on compassionate
leave since Annemarie van Kesteren was admitted to hospital in
Amsterdam on 23 December.
United had told him to take as long as he needed but Van der Sar has
contacted the club to say he should be back either at the end of the
week or early next week.
The Dutchman has been troubled by a knee injury and has not played since the 3-0 defeat of Everton on 21 November.

Are defence hasn't been that crappy (expect for the fulham game but we didn't have any defenders) It's the lack of creativity going forward that's the current problem.

Although Edwin coming back will help calm the defence which in turn should help the entire team out.

Yup. Anderson hasn't progressed as much as I had hoped for (he still can't hack it in a 4-4-2) and Gibson isn't ready as of now. Scholes does come up with a brilliant performance once in a while but that's in about every 5-7 games which we can't afford. Let's hope the second half of the season turns out to be better than the first half.

I hope not. He can still improve a lot. Plus he's only 26 I think. He'll be near his peak in two years time. I'm optimistic

yeah obviously. I was trying to say he can still improve a lot and become an absolute cracking player for us.

If VDS rETURNS ...thn also a concern coz our central deffence is sloppy....ferdi,vidic nt totally fit...wen all our defence players comes bak thn only we can say we might be in full form

Van Der Sar returning would be a start.
