| All right - I'm stuck about making a decision for my notebook. The thing is I can get a 17" Core i7, 1TB HDD, 1GB GC and 6GB RAM for 999$ (after discount coupon - from 1399$) OR 15.6" Core i7, 500GB HDD, 1GB GC and 4GB RAM for 1125$ (no coupon for this one sadly ) So the question is, 17" or 15.6". According to my brother - 17" is a big clunker of a laptop and unmanageable. 15.6" is lighter, and more petite, making it an ideal choice - over 17". See, 17" - I'm all for it - but if it is a pain in the ass to manage, then I'd rather not get it. What's your view? |

| Yeah, almost.
Dell Studio 15
Core i7 740QM Quad-core CPU 4GB DDR3 RAM 500GB SATA HDD 7200 rpm ATI Radeon Mobility 5470 1GB VRAM LED HD (720p) Widescreen 15.6"
Sadly HP has discontinued both the models mentioned in the first post, so I have decided on a Dell. Dell one even has a sub-woofer, which the HP one lacked. xD

| Pretty good. How much is it costing?
Screen's a bit small though. 17 would be nicer. |

| 55k is pretty good for a laptop. You can get a mean desktop for that price though. |

Yes. For a quad-core laptop it is OK. But 55k in itself is quite a lot of money. I guess my laptop configuration is mean too. MEAN. Core i7 would be amazing. |

He was asking for a specific suggestion and thus a wrong thread. Suggestions/Queries go to the topic which is marked as an announcement on all forums: http://devilgang.co.cc/devil-gang-lounge-f5/problems-and-queries-t5.htmAs for the question, no it won't be changed unless you pay us a lot of money to get a designer to create a whole new skin. |
