| ALEX FERGUSON has accused Carlos Tevez of betraying Manchester United by doing a deal with rivals City in January. Tevez has signed a five-year contract at Eastlands to complete a £26.5million move. Fergie says he made several attempts to get the Argentine striker to stay, including the night they played Inter Milan at home in March. He said: "I think they did the deal around January because I spoke to him and gave him an offer on the Inter Milan night and he never came back to me. "I phoned him on holiday - he never came back to me. I texted him twice - he never got back. Obviously he had made his mind up." Fergie still believes they got a good deal by having a £26.5m striker for two years for a £6m loan fee. He said: "It was a good arrangement to have. He was a good player for us." Tevez will meet up with his new City team-mates on their pre-season tour to South Africa and will wear the No 32 shirt. He said: "The decision to join is mine and mine alone. I'm here for success and to win trophies. "The manager and the owners are very ambitious and that became clear to me the first time we spoke. "This is the chance to be involved from the start - an opportunity to help build and create a special experience. "There is a great feeling of excitement about the club. Look at the quality of the players who have been signed and the prospect of other top players coming. "Things are happening at this club." City boss Mark Hughes said: "Carlos is not only outstanding technically but he is a reliable goalscorer. He gives us another exciting, attacking dimension." Fergie was less critical of Cristiano Ronaldo, who finally got his way to move to Real Madrid in a world record £80m transfer. He said: "I had a good relationship with him. I never thought we were going to keep him for a long time. To have him for six years, we're proud of that. He was a fantastic player. We wish him well." Fergie, who has brought in Antonio Valencia, 23, Gabriel Obertan, 20, and 29-year-old Michael Owen, added: "There is no need to panic. "We have good young players so what I've done is bring in youth in Antonio and Gabriel and an old codger in Michael!" Source |

| Well they do have loads of strikers but everyone falls behind in the pecking order other than Robinho in my opinion. Robinho and Tevez both don't play up front and are used as support strikers so Tevez might be benched if Hughes chooses to go with Santa Cruz/ Bellamy etc and Robinho Although he'll get enough play time there. FUCK OFF CARLOS TEVEZ. |

FUCK OFF CARLOS TEVEZ. And now looks like Adebayor might join them up. So the possible Man City Starting Line up : ---------------------------------Given---------------------------------------- -----Dunne------(come score goals, coz Given is a pussy!)=--------Richards----- -------------Barry------------------------------Robinho----------------------- ---Tevez----Adebayor----Santa Cruz---Bellamy----Bojinov-----Caicedo-------- Subs Bench - Hart, Petrov, Benjani, Evans, etc. etc. And the final full time score : Wolverhampton Wanderers 7 - 0 Man City

| Personally I'm glad Slaveboy has gone, I didn't like the idea of him playing for United "under sufference".
I'm more upset about Tevez, he gave all he had for us and I really hoped he'd stay. What makes it harder to take is all the badmouthing he's doing to Fergie. I actually have a suspicion MSI had all but done a deal with Citeh behind our backs - if you remember Citeh declared an interest in January (through the media)
United felt MSI were trying to screw them over the transfer fee, given the (then) decline in the market - hence they wouldn't pay the demanded fee.
Whatever the reasons, they're gone and as United fans we should concentrate on those who are fighting for our club from now on. |

It's painfully obvious he has left us for money and I hope the thick idiot suffers at City and ends up getting benched there too. He says the fans shouldn't be angry with him as his move to City doesn't involve anything which the fans will mind. Ask the little prick whether he'd move to River Plate if offered the same contracts? The bastard doesn't understand what the Manchester rivarly means and I hope he does rot and I mean rot there. |
